Mp3 player: Apple or Philips?

I would like to get a cheap mp3 player and can't decide which one of those to buy. Could you help me? Or maybe you have some other suggestions?

1. Apple mp3 shuffle. Without a screen. I mean the older version, which has not a square, but rather oblong shape. No folder browsing function, but I guess it has better sound quality than the Philips player. Rechargeable battery.

2. Philips Go Gear SA1100. With a screen. Has a folder browsing function. AAA type baterry.

If these are the only tweo you can get, always go for the iPod, if only for the rechargeable battery. Buying new batteries constantly is a bit of a pain. Plus it definately has better sound quality.

To be honest though, I'd say everyone here is right - I would save your money and wait a little longer to get a Nano. You could even save more to get a Video - best contraption ever made in my view :D
Reply:i think you must try this Sony NW-E013F/B.
Reply:To be honest I would get an I Pod nano I have one they are excellent and the memory is huge. I have seen the shuffles and Im not impressed I like to choose which song's I listen to, that would drive me crazy a constant shuffle :)
