MP3 or Ipod?

Hi, i have been looking around for mp3's and i have found this Samsung one of Amazon and it looks fantastic, but my brother is saying that i should get an ipod. But then most of the reviews say that they are better than ipods. I dont know what to go for. Can u Help? The mp3 is calld Samsung YP-T9 4GB MP3 PLAYER.

MP3 or Ipod?
Ipods can use either mp3 or Itunes (mp4 not mp3). Ipods are typically more expensive for what you get. Ipods have a larger variety of accessories made for them (mostly because they need more accessories).





Mp3 players can not play Itunes, however you can convert them to mp3 without a problem. You typically get more internally incorporated with the mp3 player and that includes memory per $. You can still get the basic accessories for the mp3 players. Usually you just need chargers, speakers and/or FM transmitters.





With that I would say forget being trendy and buy the mp3 player. Better bang for your buck!!!

Reply:I've done a little research on the MP3 you were looking at and it does look good but personally i think that the ipod what with it's many accessories and the perks of itunes and its being so easy to control the ipod is your best bet.
Reply:the samsung got bluetooth,sound recorder and fm radio which are not in the ipod,BUT ipod got 1,30,60 GB storage which beats the hell outta 4GB in the samsung, u just need to put ur priorities in order ^^

i have an ipod and rllly its stupid.


it was a waste of money annnd its only "good" looking.


and mp3 has everything in at [usually] %26amp;%26amp;%26amp; is much cheaper.

Reply:Ipods have a lot of accessories, meaning that you have to buy most of the stuff other MP3 players would have built in like FM Radio. Ipods typically look cooler, but if you want something with Video, and FM radio built-in, MP3 players are the way to go. Also, Ipod can only use Itunes and specific other programs to download music.
Reply:Just get the mp3. I mean the only reason people get i Pods is because they are more widely known. If you believe the mp3 is better, just get it! Anyways, both of them were systems created so that the users may enjoy their favorite tunes, so it really doesn't matter. Just follow what your instincts tell you. Good luck!

Ipod IS an MP3 player! It's a brand name not a product. geez.





That being said, I'd stay away from the Ipod as the I tunes is not a "perk". How can it be a perk when it's your only choice?


If all you care about is accessories so can change colors, add designs, etc then go with the Ipod. If you actaully care about music go for the Samsung.





However, if it were me I'd look for one with the "plays for sure" logo so you can use it at all the majot music stores instead of JUST Itunes. Not sure if the Samsung is or not, but it's still better than an Ipod.
