I just bought a Coby MP-C827 mp3 player. And the instructions for putting the music onto it was to drag and drop onto the player. Now ive tried to sync it on with my windows media player but it says 'cannot play file', and the drag and drop wouldnt work either. I dont know what to do. I even tried switching all my music over to real music player, but then it said 'the music file is incompatible with my player' which is mp3 so that cant be right. All my music is mp3, not protected, and it still wont work, I need this for tommorrw, so can somebody help me now!
Help!! Mp3 player problems!!!!?
Try syncing using Windows Media Player (if you have WMP version 10). That's how I've always done it with both my SanDisk and my RCA. If that won't work check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates to make it an MTP device.
Reply:Try making your own playlist in the media player
Reply:read if there are any other compatible formats with your player. sometimes you have like wav or such. see if you can convert it and try that?
or maybe you should turn your player on before you sync?
good luck
Reply:Are you sure you're using mp3? Get a music file, from a CD or something, and put it in "My music". Make sure you know where it is. If you look at it, it should have the extension .mp3 Now, plug your MP3 player in your computer and open My Computer. Then, wait till it refreshes and look for USB Drive, or something like that. Open that and it should show everything in your player now. Now, take the original music file and copy it. Paste it into the USB Drive folder. Unplug your player and it should be in there. I find it easier to not drag and drop through a music program, just in the Windows Explorer.
Hope this helps.
