what is the difference between a mp3 and a ipod ,what can you do with a ipod that you cant on a mp3 player i have mp3 and i was just wandering what is the pros of getting ipod what exactly does it do?

There isn't a difference, an iPod is an MP3 player. A video iPod is an mp4 player. The only difference is the price and the fact that after 2 or 3 years the battery dies and you have to buy a new one or send it back to Apple to get it replaced, which costs $$$. I've also heard that iPods have issues with some files.
If all you want is something to play music on, get an mp3 player that uses AAA or AA batteries and get rechargeables. A player that uses memory cards is a plus too, because then you can have any number of them and increase your storage.
Reply:it depends what kind of ipod you get, bc for some of them youu can watch movies and in others you can fit more songs. but most of the thing is that ipod is more popular than others so thats why ipod is "better"

Reply:An Ipod is better to show off, and can really only have songs downloaded from Itunes. However, if you get a top-of-the-range one you can play videos/movies. Other than that, they're the same...

Reply:Your probably better off with what you have, ipod are outdated pieces of junk. The only reason people buy them is because they are fashionable nowadays, try looking at the zen vision m and do some comparison shopping.
Reply:i would say a mp3 or mp4 as you have to sync ur music in itunes for a ipod and you cant use a ipod as a flash drive whereas you can on a mp3 player
Reply:the ipod is just a brand name of an mp3 player...mp3 players usually have radios and voice reccording and such but ipods dont. you would be better off keeping the mp3 player you already have...the only thing that is good about ipods is that theyre easy to use and are nice looking
