Mp3/mp4 player?

A Friend give me an mp3 player because it was having a formating problem some songs that u would try to play would say formatting error, i was wondering how to fix that and also i kind of need to know what kind of mp3 player it is i've never seen one like it before when i hooked it up it read as a flash but its got an os on it it doesnt have a companys name on it where the lcd is all it says is mp3/mp4/fm/usb/1 gb digital player-fx its vertical kind of like the older ipod nano and kind of the same design for navigation but instead of a touch its a click....

Jus t connect it then go to START%26gt;MYCOMPUTER%26gt;(DEVICE)%26gt;RIGHT CLICK AND FORMAT it will ask you for what type of format i recommend using FAT or Fat 32 any. then just copy and paste songs into the device.
